Welcome!PURA VIDA 🇨🇷I am Rodney EduardoAnd I am Meteorologist & Physical Oceanographer |
Doctoral candidate in Physical Oceanography. My research proposal is: A study about the initial stages of wind-wave growth in the presence of mixed sea state conditions
Advisor: PhD. Pedro Osuna, Ph.D Francisco Ocampo-Torres, Ph.D Héctor García-Nava, and Ph.D Alexander Babanin
Explore my wind and wave climatology project app (WWCAT) for adjacent Costa Rica and Central American waters. The tool uses the 30-year hindcast of WAVEWATCH III. See this link:
I am currently a Physical Oceanographer and Ph.D. candidate in Physical Oceanography at CICESE, Baja California, México. I collaborate with the wave group of the Department of Physical Oceanography. My interests are ocean-atmosphere interaction, wind wave dynamics, wave modeling, wave and wind climatology, and extreme events. Also, other exciting topics include tides and tropical ocean dynamics.
I love programming in Python but also use Matlab to tackle data challenges. I use Latex to write my documents. I use bash Linux to automatize and speed up my process. Sometimes, I use Fortran to program specified tasks.
MSc in Physical Oceanography, 2015.
The Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education at Ensenada, Baja California, México.
BSc in Meteorology, 2009.
University of Costa Rica, San Pedro, Costa Rica.
